These paths are accessible directly from our hotel
1.Round trip Bad Oberdorf – Coach Museum – Hinterstein – Bad Oberdorf
Total walking time approx. 60 minutes
Walk down Luitpold Street crossing Kurz Street and Hintersteiner Street until you reach Gruebeplätzle parking lot. Cross the bridge over the Ostrach River and keep left in the direction of Bruck.
Having reached Bruck, continue along the right-hand bank of the Ostrach. The path will take you past a power station. After a few more minutes you will reach a signpost indicating the path to the Coach Museum. A magical fairy-tale world awaits you here. After your visit to the museum, cross the Ostrach via a wooden bridge to reach Hinterstein. In Hinterstein, walk in the direction of Bruck until you reach the unique Allgäu natural baths Prinze Gumpe. The baths are sourced by water from the Zipfel Falls. Continue along the right-hand bank of the Ostrach until you reach Bruck. Cross the bridge to the other side of the Ostrach and follow the sign to Bad Oberdorf (Gruebeplätzle).
2.Round trip Hotel Café Hochstadt – Path of Love – Veil Falls
Total walking time approx. 40 minutes
Exit our property via the garden stairway to reach the Spa-Hotel Prinz-Luitpold-Bad. Walk to the right past the main entrance of the hotel and follow the signpost „Vaterlandsweg“. Part of this path was inaugurated as the Path of Love („Liebespfad“) on the 30th of April 2005. At the start of the Path of Love you will pass through a flower-covered gate, the path then offers lovely views of Bad Oberdorf. As you make your progress towards the Veil Falls, you will encounter poems by famous german poets such as Heine and Goethe while colourful benches invite you to linger a while. At the junction, follow the sign to the Veil Falls. An imposing cascade of water awaits you here. As you return, the junction will take you to the Meadow Path („Wiesenweg“) back to Bad Oberdorf.
3.Round trip Bad Oberdorf – Wildbachtobel – Aussichtskanzel – alte Jochstraße – Bad Oberdorf
Exit our property via the garden stairway to reach the Spa-Hotel Prinz-Luitpold-Bad. Turn towards the B308, but before reaching the Wildbach bridge, turn to your right following the sign „Wildbachtobel“. Take note that if you suffer from vertigo you should rather not tackle this path, sure-footedness is also a definite advantage. Take heed of the warning sign indicating the alpine dangers.
The ascent is awe-inspiring; at the top you will reach the old Jochstraße. Follow the signs downhill towards Bad Oberdorf. After approx. 10 minutes take the path to the viewing terrace („Aussichtskanzel“). This will present you with an imposing panoramic view of Bad Oberdorf/Bad Hindelang and the surrounding alpine landscape. Return to the old Jochstraße and follow the signs to Bad Oberdorf.
